Eating Disorders
If you are suffering with an eating disorder and would like help in resolving
this, we would encourage you to make an appointment with any of our doctors.
Eating disorders frequently start in young adulthood and can have a major
impact on relationships, the ability to study and health. Patients with the
shortest time between onset of abnormal eating behaviours and seeking help
tend to have the better prognosis.
As a University practice with a younger population we see an above average
number of people with eating problems and have close links with the local NHS
Eating Disorders Service in Liverpool and Sefton, with one of our GP’s working
within their team as medical advisor for the last 9 years. For more information
visit the Eating Disorders Association (EDA) website.
