Eating Disorders
If you are suffering with an eating
disorder and would like help in resolving this, we would encourage
you to make an appointment with any of our doctors.
Eating disorders frequently start in
young adulthood and can have a major impact on relationships, the
ability to study and health. Patients with the shortest time
between onset of abnormal eating behaviours and seeking help tend to
have the better prognosis.
As a University practice with a
younger population we see an above average number of people with
eating problems and have close links with the local NHS Eating
Disorders Service in Liverpool and Sefton, with one of our GP’s
working within their team as medical advisor for the last 9 years.

Disorders Association (EDA) website
Weight
Management
Obesity affects 20% of the British
population and has become more prevalent in younger people in
the last decade. We offer a non judgemental approach to weight
management and weight reduction and recognise this as a
multifactorial problem that causes significant distress to those
affected. If you would like help with your weight please make
an appointment with one of our doctors or nurses. For more
