At Brownlow Health we provide a comprehensive and confidential sexual health and contraceptive service. This is run by doctors and nurses who specialise in sexual health and contraceptive care.

Sexual Health Services

We are able to screen and arrange treatment for a range of conditions

Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea, swab or urine sample
Trichomonas - swab
Genital warts
Genital herpes
Hepatitis B and C - blood test
HIV - blood test
Syphilis - bloood test

Additional Swabs

Candida (Thrush)
Bacterial vaginosis

New Services

In addition to our daily appointments and walk in services we have added a new evening drop-in sexual health and contraceptive clinic at our Ropewalks Surgery every Monday from 5pm until 7pm. (starts from 17th September 2012)

Contraceptive Services

All our clinicians are family planning trained and able to advise and deliver the full range of contraceptive services including

Contracecptive Implants - insertion and removal
Intra uterine contraceptive devices - Copper and Mirena coils
Contraceptive injection
Oral Contraception - combined and Progesterone only pills
Condoms
Contraceptive rings and patches
Pregnancy testing - iincluding counselling and referral to antenatal services.
For unplanned pregnancy other referral options are available, please come in and discuss your needs in full confidence with one of our clinicians
Smears - We also offer cervical smears to all our female patients over 25 years of age
