Email Advice - Ask the Doctor


If you are registered with the Practice you can now email our doctors for advice using our online form.
This service may be suitable for you if you have a problem that is worrying you, any ongoing health concerns or if you would like more information on how best to access our services.
Your email will be read by one of our doctors who will aim to reply within one working day.
This Service is not suitable for recent onset illnesses, emergencies or where an examination is required. Also, we are not able to give out test results or information on your past medical history through this service due to rules around confidentiality.

Brownlow Health has provided Student Health Services to The University of Liverpool for many years. All staff have developed their knowledge and skills to deal with all student health issues.
The following services are available to students at The Unviersity of Liverpool.

Student Health Advice Centre (SHAC)

SHAC is open during term time and is situated at the Halls of Residence on Carnatic Site, Mossley Hill . SHAC offers a full range of nursing services including contraception, sexual health screening, health advice, minor injuries and the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes.

SHAC opening hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 4.00 pm - 7.00 pm
Wednesday: 3.00 pm - 7.00 pm
Friday: 3.00 pm - 6.00 pm

Psychology Service

A Student Health Psychologist works as part of the team. A full range of therapies are offered. A referral from a doctor is required.

Vaccinations

A full range of routine and travel vaccinations are provided. (For registered patients of Brownlow Health only.) Ensure that you are up to date with your vaccinations.
Have you had a meningitis vaccination, two MMR (measles, mumps and Rubella) vaccinations? If you are unsure please ask one of our nursing team for advice.

Sexual Health
