Student Health Services

Brownlow Medical has provided Student Health Services to The University of Liverpool for many years. All staff have developed their knowledge and skills to deal with all student health issues.
The following services are available to students at The Unviersity of Liverpool.

Student Health Advice Centre (SHAC)

SHAC is open during term time and is situated at the Halls of Residence on Carnatic Site, Mossley Hill . SHAC offers a full range of nursing services including contraception, sexual health screening, health advice, minor injuries and the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes.

SHAC opening hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 4.00 pm - 7.00 pm
Wednesday: 3.00 pm - 7.00 pm
Friday: 3.00 pm - 6.00 pm

Psychology Service

A Student Health Psychologist works as part of the team. A full range of therapies are offered. A referral from a doctor is required.

Vaccinations

Ensure that you are up to date with your vaccinations.
Have you had a meningitis vaccination, two MMR (measles, mumps and Rubella) vaccinations? If you are unsure please ask one of our nursing team for advice.

Sexual Health

We offer a full range of sexual health services including contraceptive advice, free condoms and emergency contraception, full sexual health screening and treatment.
